Edinburgh Art Festival is Scotland’s largest annual festival of visual art, presenting the best contemporary artists in the context of exhibitions of the most important International artists and movements of the 20th Century and historical periods.
Attracting over 250,000 visits each year, Edinburgh Art Festival brings together the capital’s leading galleries, museums and artist-run spaces, alongside new public art commissions by establised and emerging artists and an innovative programme of special events. The vast majority of the festival is free to attend.
The 2013 festival runs from 1 August to 1 September and includes over 45 exhibitions and new public art commissions by the likes of Christine Borland & Brody Condon, Robert Montgomery, Sarah Kenchington, Katri Walker, Peter Liversidge and a special Edinburgh edition of Kalleinen & Kalleinen’s Complaints Choir.
