Evening Class: Collograph
1 November 2017 until 6 December 2017
Highland Print Studio
Tutor: Jan Baxandall
Cost: £120 / £110
Deadline: 25th October 2017
A beginner/refresher evening class in collograph; a method of printmaking that uses texture to create a wide variety of tone and line on a plate. The process begins by making a textured plate from a thin mount board base where a variety of materials are applied to create an intricately textured printing plate. The plate is printed using an etching press and can printed intaglio, relief or both. Over the six sessions participants will learn a range of techniques for making collagraph plates as well as a variety of ways of printing using both intaglio and relief processes.
Highland Print Studio offers a range of classes for anyone interested in learning a new technique. Each class has six spaces available. We are delighted to welcome complete beginners to the Studio, and no previous artistic experience is necessary for any of our Beginners/Refreshers classes. We also offer some classes at Intermediate level. So why not come along and explore your creative side!
Book this class online via the Classes section of our website (full price only – contact Studio direct to book concessionary rate), or phone or email the Studio (email and number found on website.) We ask for payment in full (at time of booking) to confirm your place.
