Glasgow Green Tease with Minty Donald + Nick Millar
16:00 on 27 October 2014
Tchai-Ovna, 42 Otago Lane, Glasgow , G12 8PB
We’re very pleased to invite you to our next Glasgow Green Tease which will take place on Monday 27th October, 4 – 6pm. In this next session, we’ll meet at Tchai-Ovna Tea House in the West End and will be led by artists Minty Donald and Nick Millar in a series of experiments around the nearby River Kelvin, exploring their interests with water in their practice and considering the different roles water plays within urban settings.
We’ll start off in Tchai-Ovna at 4pm with a brief presentation from Minty and Nick on their practice and will then take a short walk to the River Kelvin where we’ll be led through a number of ‘guddling about’ experiments – what Minty describes as simple, playful – but, they hope, thought-provoking – actions that can be carried out with any river or watercourse around which human settlement has evolved. After some guddling about we’ll then round up the session back in the café. You can see and read more about Minty and Nick’s practice here.
As always, Green Tease is open to anyone interested in exploring what roles artists and artistic organisations can play in growing a more sustainable Glasgow so please pass this on to anyone you think would like to join us. We really want to hear your views and hope you can join us and contribute to the event.
Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by the morning of 27th October and let me know if you have any questions before then.
