Holly Goldsworthy

23 May 2015 until 28 June 2015
The Mill on the Fleet

Holly will be showing at the Mill as part of Spring Fling’s Young Artist Mentoring scheme. Holly is a recent Glasgow School of Art graduate and is showing a new body of work that ranges in scale, from intimate hand-held objects to large architectural forms that respond to the gallery space, that activate and reflect upon the ephemeral nature of the sculpture. As Holly explains, ‘my practice explores the poetics of change, decay, reaction and time. My sculptures often reference a function or action within the dialogues between each of their elements. They allude to familiar forms, responding to features of a particular space through scale, shape, material and surface.’
