Look Again Festival: 'What Supports you?'
18:00 on 30 April 2017
The Anatomy Rooms
‘Enabling systems often go unregistered in the moment that we use them.’ Shannon Jackson.
This year SCAN is joining up with the Look Again: Visual Art and Design Festival and artist collective ‘PALM’ to host a conversation which will look again at the art ecology in Aberdeen. The event will bring emerging artists based in the region together with different cultural producers to ask what support structures should be in place as we face increasingly precarious futures? It will be a moment to consider the particular socio-economic/ environmental challenges we face and offer a collective response.
Guest Speakers include Lorraine Grant (The Barn), Rachel Grant (Freelance artist and curator), Tamsin Greenlaw (Suttie Arts space NHS Grampian), Hilary Nicol (Look Again Visual Arts festival), Nuno Sacramento (Peacock Visual Arts), Tako Taal (Artist), Sam Trotman (Scottish Sculpture Workshop).
