Board Members, Collective
Collective is seeking new board members to join us at this exciting time as we move towards opening the redeveloped City Observatory on Calton hill as a world-class contemporary visual arts space. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an ambitious charity seeking to create a new kind of city observatory for Edinburgh and Scotland.
As we transition into this new phase in Collective’s development, launching our opening programme and operating in an historic site with diversified income strands, we are particularly keen to recruit board members with a range of private and business networks and experience in commercial enterprise, estate management and philanthropy. These appointments will complement our diverse Board. Board members are directors of the company and trustees of the charity and play a vital role in the governance of Collective. Board members are expected to attend meetings, events, participate in sub-committees, advocate for Collective and support fundraising and staff.
Collective engages widely with diverse communities and we are keen that board membership reflects this diversity. The summary terms of reference for board members can be downloaded LINK
If you are interested in our mission and think you can contribute as a board member, please contact Chair, Anne Bonnar (firstname.lastname@example.org or 0131 225 7677) for an informal and confidential exploratory discussion by 1 December 2017.
