Claire Walsh is an editor and curator based in Edinburgh. She currently works as curatorial assistant at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.
During 2016 Claire was guest co-editor of MAP, along with Suzanne van der Lingen. Together they produced the Footnoting the Archive project, which presents the MAP archive as an active site for artistic production and intervention. As part of this editorial programme, they were awarded the Edinburgh College of Art School of Art Alumni Micro Residency in August 2016.
In 2015-16 she participated in Curatorial Studio, a project organised by Kirsteen MacDonald and SCAN which brought together curatorial practitioners from across Scotland in a year-long programme of seminars and workshops.
Claire studied painting at Limerick School of Art and Design and Contemporary Art Theory at Edinburgh College of Art. Between 2012-14 she co-edited Occupy Paper, an online contemporary art and writing journal which began life as the tandem publishing leg of Limerick artist-run gallery Occupy Space.
