Neil Lebeter is Art Collections Curator & Deputy Head of Museums for The University of Edinburgh. The Art Collection contains 8,000 works spanning over 2,000 years of history. Since joining the University in 2012, there has been a development to significantly increase contemporary art in the collection – both from artists linked to Edinburgh College of Art and to themes in research and teaching. Recent acquisitions include Katie Paterson, Ilana Halperin, Melanie Gilligan and Rachel Maclean.
