Team

The SCAN team consists of six part-time staff whose experience within the wider contemporary art community brings a range of skills to the organisation. Drawing on their work as artists, curators, writers and many other areas of the visual arts, they share a commitment to the promotion and development of the visual arts in Scotland.

  • Claire Biddles

    Digital Communications Lead

    Claire maintains and develops SCAN’s digital platforms, including social media, ebulletins and the SCAN website.

  • Emma Gibson

    Highland Member Development Officer

    Emma acts as a champion for our members in the Highlands, supporting us to amplify Highland voices and building public awareness of contemporary art’s role and value.

  • Lydia Honeybone

    Programme Lead

    Lydia oversees SCAN’s DECADES programme for the membership and wider contemporary art community.

  • Moira Jeffrey

    Director

    Moira joined SCAN in 2017, working across public affairs and advocacy as well as leading on development projects, partnerships, and events. Moira became Director in January 2021.

  • Helen Moore

    Membership Lead

    Helen helps to advocate for the contemporary art scene in Scotland through building and supporting our membership network and developing our membership offer. Helen informs and connects our members through activities and liaison.

  • Shireen Taylor

    Finance Administrator

    As well as maintaining all the day-to-day transactions, Shireen supports the Director, Staff and Board in financial budgeting and reporting.
