Team

The SCAN team consists of seven staff members – one full-time, six part-time – whose experience within the wider contemporary art community brings a range of skills to the organisation. Drawing on their work as artists, curators, writers and organisers, they share a commitment to the promotion and development of the visual arts in Scotland.

  • Veronique AA Lapeyre

    Director

    Veronique provides strategic and operational leadership for SCAN, working with our board, staff team, membership and partners in the sector to drive forward SCAN’s ambition: to ensure that artists, art workers and art organisations are supported in their aims, valued for their contribution, and resourced for change.

  • Helen Moore

    Deputy Director

    Helen provides support with strategic and operational direction for SCAN, working with staff, members and the wider sector on advocacy, development and engagement activities.

  • Claire Biddles

    Digital Communications Lead

    Claire maintains and develops SCAN’s digital platforms, including social media, ebulletins and the SCAN website.

  • Emma Gibson

    Highland Development Lead

    Emma acts as a champion for our members in the Highlands, supporting us to amplify Highland voices and building public awareness of contemporary art’s role and value.

  • Lydia Honeybone

    Programme Development Lead

    Lydia oversees SCAN’s programme of events and activity for the membership and wider contemporary art community, including the annual flagship event Summit.

  • Shireen Taylor

    Finance and Development Lead

    Shireen maintains day-to-day transactions, and leads on financial budgeting, reporting and fundraising.
