BE SEEING YOU is an exhibition based around the imagery used in the roleplaying game of the same name designed by Tanya Floaker.
It explores independence, control, freedom & compliance. Tanya’s protest-style images portray dangerous levels of dystopian science fiction, social allegory, and psychological drama. Influenced by fiction in the vein of The Prisoner, Stalker, and Utopia, as well as real struggles against internet security, mass surveillance, the Hostile Environment, and the alienating effects of capitalism.
Tanya has also put together a playlist to accompany the project. Take a listen to the BE SEEING YOU Spotify Playlist.
To expand on the exhibition, artist Tanya Floaker will talk about the intersection between role-playing games’ potential to explore new ideas, the everyday experience of mass surveillance, and the wealth of influences BE SEEING YOU draws upon.
