A session to be inspired, explore and experiment with digital tools for art, design and craft – Book Here

Join us from 1-5pmThursday 19 September for a unique event in partnership with The Design Suite at Adam Smith Theatre, where the world of craft meets cutting-edge technology. Whether you’re a craftsperson, designer, or artist, this day is all about discovering how digital tools can elevate your creative practice. Come and hear from two artists who use digital mediums as tools to produce their artworks, with the option to stay on to network and then test out some of the technology the Design Suite has to offer.

Artist Talks: Kyle Ferguson & Lynne Maclachlan
We’ll kick off with two inspiring talks from innovative craft artists who seamlessly blend traditional techniques with modern technology. Hear first hand how they’ve integrated digital tools into their work, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in craft.

Tea & Coffee Break:
After the talks, enjoy a break with refreshments and a chance to mingle. This is your time to connect with fellow creatives, exchange ideas, and start thinking about how technology could open new doors in your own practice.

Hands-On Workshop Demos: 3D Printing & Laser Cutting
We’re offering two workshops that will demystify the world of digital fabrication, guiding you through live demonstrations of the 3D printer and laser cutter. These demos will give you a clear understanding of how these powerful tools work, sparking ideas on how you might use them in your own projects. Workshops are limited to 12 people, so early booking is essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to get up close with the equipment and gain the confidence to start using it in your own work.

Booking Options:
You can choose to attend just the Artist Talks or opt for the full experience with both the Talks and the Workshop Demos. Workshops will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to reserve your spot early!
