New exhibition at the 201 Telephone Box Gallery in Strathkinness
Sunday 19 March 2023 marks the start of a new exhibition at the 201 Telephone Box Gallery.
‘Open Frame’ is a site-specific intervention by Yunior Aguiar Perdomo, Cuban-born contemporary artist and educator. Yunior’s intervention builds on the phone box’s core theme of communication and reflects on the topics of introspection, isolation and dialogue. It looks to our relationship with means of communication and staying connected, also as ways to enable a retreat from the larger context surrounding us. The artwork intends to situate the viewer in direct dialogue with the immediate surroundings, articulating inward and outward perspectives on the same plane.
Exhibition runs until 7 May 2023.
