LUX Scotland are pleased to announce a new Winter School event in partnership with Hospitalfield.
The residential winter school will take place at Hospitalfield over the weekend of 10 – 12 November 2023 and will be led by artist Jamie Crewe. The event is open to artists, curators, programmers and writers who are based in Scotland and are interested in exploring some key questions in Jamie’s practice within a small group setting.
A group of ten participants will spend time together at Hospitalfield, with Jamie and members of the LUX Scotland team, to explore aspects of Jamie’s practice through a programme of film screenings, group reading sessions, discussions and meals. Jamie will introduce participants to her recent work ‘False Wife’ (2022) and present a wide range of cultural material that is important to her and her thinking, including feature films by other directors, archival footage of influential musical performances and select texts for group readings.
