Ceramic Sculpture with Mella Shaw
1 November 2018 until 13 December 2018
Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop
Make a ‘family’ of objects in ceramics with tutor Mella Shaw!
Over six weeks you will learn methods of hand-building in ceramics (slab building, coiling and pinching techniques) and will incorporate pattern, texture and coloured slip to explore your own personal style. By the end of the course you will have a small group or “family” of connected objects which you will glaze on the last session.
This course is ideal for people with some basic skills in ceramics who are looking to develop and expand on these in a supportive and experimental way.
Mella Shaw graduated with an MA in Ceramics and Glass from the Royal College of Art in 2013 and has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally.
Course price £195 for 6 weeks (£175.50 for concessions). All materials included in course price.
To book please phone 0131 551 4490 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note, there is a one week gap on the Thursday 6th December for drying and firing.
