Curatorial Studio, Public Programme: Nikolett Erőss - OFF Biennale
16:00 on 19 March 2016
The international public programme of Curatorial Studio continues with Nikolett Erőss, making her first visit to Scotland. These events are free, but ticketed.
Erőss introduces OFF Biennale in Budapest within the context of a wider discussion about art, curating, politics, festivals and the geography of self-organisation with Sarah McCrory (Glasgow International) and Anna McLauchlan (University of Leeds). OFF Biennale is a civic initiative that began in 2015 led by a network of self-organisation in response to political and subsequent legislative changes in Hungary since 2012 that have caused dramatic changes to the curatorial leadership of Budapest’s art institutions.
