David Finn, Artist Talk
18:00 on 12 October 2018
City Art Centre
American artist David Finn’s art was first introduced to Scotland with exhibitions at the former Third Eye Centre (now the CCA) in Glasgow, 1988 and the Travelling Gallery, 1990. On the occasion of the Travelling Gallery’s 40th anniversary, he returns to Scotland to talk about how the exhibition and workshops with the Travelling Gallery influenced his recent works ‘Transforming Race’, 2011 and ‘Big Tent’, 2012, both collective artworks that sought to energise conversations around race in Winston- Salem, North Carolina, USA.
