TUTOR Rebecca Edgar
DAY Friday 10am – 4pm
DATES 7 February
LOCATION Art Studios
In this one-day workshop, participants will explore the process behind making their own repeat patterns, taking inspiration from nature’s simplified botanical forms.
Here you will learn how to overlay and tessellate simple cut-out style motifs to build up your own elaborate, interlocking composition, creating arrangements which mirror and complement the mathematics of repetition found within nature.
An exploration into colour and form, this class is also suitable for those with little or no previous drawing experience.
Participants will leave the class with their own large scale, high quality, original painted design, suitable for digital transferal into print on either wallpaper or textile pieces for the home.
