Gabe Passareli: How to suggest details (Como Sugerir Detalhes)
18:30 on 5 July 2019
The Fruitmarket Gallery
Passereli is a performance artist from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A gender-queer artist she makes work that foregrounds the body as a site of conflict and creation. Passareli is visiting Europe to take part in performance symposia and events in Portugal, France, Germany, Scotland and England. Tonight she shares her recent performance process, developed since arriving in Europe in May.
‘When I remind myself that I breathe, do I notice that I have something in common with you? What promotes our mismatch? How can your body impose violence on mine? What are the limits that keep me from you?’
This event is supported by The Fruitmarket Gallery’s Brazilian partner, Despina.
