I Love This City (even more when the sky is blue)
Award-winning artist, and SCAN member, Sarah Kudirka is showing her paintings on Polaroids and Instax, and prints for the first time at Glasgow Contemporary Art Fair.
Sarah Kudirka is a visual artist who has been based in Glasgow since 2017. She works primarily with Polaroids, oil paint and pencil. Her work is derived by walking in cities – Glasgow, London, Hong Kong, Berlin and Sydney to date – looking up at the sky between the buildings and obliterating hundreds of instant snaps with paint.
At GCAF Sarah will be launching her massive new print – I Love This City (even more when the sky is blue) – featuring 48 of her paint + Polaroid images based on Glasgow, made around her residency in the city last year. Its companion pieces on Hong Kong and London (each 111 × 71cm) will also be on display, on stand 44.
