Home Where Home Is Not
22 June 2019 until 3 August 2019
Glasgow Women's Library & Platform
Home Where Home Is Not is an ambitious new exhibition project by Glasgow-based artists Sogol Mabadi and Birthe Jorgensen, reimagining fixed notions of home and exploring the power and potential of poly-vocal forms of expression. The exhibition stretches across two sites to playfully engage the viewer in the experience of being from more than one place, featuring installations, wood-carved sculptures, sound works and assemblage.
The exhibition launches at Glasgow Women’s Library on Saturday 22nd June, from 2pm to 4pm, and at Platform on Thursday 27th June, from 6pm to 8pm.
An accompanying events program will be announced shortly
Home Where Home Is Not is made possible by the generous support of Henry Moore Foundation, Creative Scotland, Hope Scott Trust, Platform and Glasgow Women’s Library.
