In Focus: R.S.V.P. Sculptures
19:00 on 2 April 2019
The Fruitmarket Gallery
Join Fresh Fruit for an informal discussion about Nengudi’s R.S.V.P sculptures. Made from nylon tights stretched and tethered to the wall, they originally invited interaction and were activated by performance. The discussion considers the works in the context of the body and identity.
FRESH FRUIT is an open, peer-led group for young adults aged 16–25 to work together and with artists to explore new ideas and make and share art. Using the Fruitmarket’s creative programme as a starting point, Fresh Fruit are supported to shape the direction and content of projects.
