Intro to Clay - Taster Session
12:00 on 16 February 2020
Dundee Ceramics Workshop
Whether playing with clay is a distant memory or you’ve never done ceramics in your life, this taster session is a great way to sample different techniques before joining a longer DCW class.
Take a half day tour with Shannon Donovan of the main basic hand-building techniques – pinch pots, coiling and slabs – then watch a wheel-throwing demonstration before trying for yourself. At the end of the session you can pick your two favourite pieces to be fired; these will then be glazed for you to collect when they’re complete.
This class is designed for complete beginners who want to try ceramics before committing to one of our class blocks.
Sunday 16 February 2020 – 12pm-4pm. Class costs £50 / £45 for DCW members. Cost includes tuition, materials and firing/glazing of two items.
Book your space by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. More info and alternative class dates can be found at dundeeceramicsworkshop.com.
Young people aged 12-16 are welcome to attend (at a concession price) but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
