Learn some basic and fun techniques for making simple books with Marion Archibald during this years’ Artists’ BookMarket.
This short introductory workshop will include techniques for folded books, folded and cut books, sewing a pamphlet book, and making a hard cover for a folded book. By the end of the workshop, you will have a selection of simple books to take away with you, as well as several templates to use to make your own books.
Marion is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art, she incorporates photography, print-making, found objects, and artist books into her practice. In addition, Marion runs a variety of book-making workshops and along with artist Paul McDonald, runs analogue photography and alternative process workshops from The Old Printing Works in Fife.
