Projects 18: Kevin McCollum
25 May 2018 until 3 June 2018
25 May 2018 – 3 June 2018
Preview Thursday 24 May, 6pm
Kevin McCollum is based in Edinburgh and he studied photography at Napier University. His project ‘Basement Series’ has evolved out of commissioned work documenting large-scale city centre developments in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The photographs on display at Stills were all taken between 2016-18 in the basement and vaults of a former bank headquarters in Edinburgh city centre. The series is a personal study of repetition that involves quiet moments of chance alongside observations of details and shapes, such as lines or shafts of light, in often-mundane objects that become beautiful or of visual interest.
