Liquid Silver: Paper, Objects and Dry Plate
18 April 2020 until 19 April 2020
Stills: Centre for Photography
This 2 day liquid emulsion course begins by introducing the magic (and basics) of hand applied silver gelatin, an historic process continued through to contemporary times with countless possibilities.
By the end of the course students will have 2 prints on paper covering the basics of the process, 2 prints on different porous material objects, and one glass plate.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own materials to experiment with or discuss in addition to the supplied materials.
Students will need to bring their own negatives to print from or contact Stills to arrange some digital negatives to be prepared for them in advance.
This course is suitable for those new to photography through seasoned professionals.
Courses are open to all individuals aged 16 and over. We cannot accept bookings for participants under this age.
