Dundee Ceramics Workshop
Level up your production skills – learn the essentials of plaster and ceramics casting in this five week introductory course.
Kevin Andrew Morris will guide you through several mould making and slip casting techniques, from mixing and pouring plaster to making slip casts from multiple piece moulds. You’ll also have the opportunity to try slip decoration and finishing techniques, with work being fired for collection after the course.
To give you an idea of what the course covers, you’ll leave with: a simple stamp/spring mould; press moulded tiles; a one piece mould; a two/three piece mould; sledged plaster forms; slip casting tests; and three slip casts from a multiple piece mould.
These classes are for those with experience of clay who would like to learn a new skill or expand their existing knowledge.
Fridays from 20 March 2020 – 6pm-8.30pm for five weeks. Classes cost £165 / £150 for DCW members. Cost includes tuition, materials and firings.
Book your space by emailing email@example.com. More info and alternative class dates can be found at dundeeceramicsworkshop.com.
Young people aged 12-16 are welcome to attend (at a concession price) but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
