Open Book Reading Group: Between Exhibitions
10:30 on 26 June 2019
Stills: Centre for Photography
Stills is between exhibitions and we are using the opportunity to read and discuss passages of fiction and poetry linked to themes of absence, projection, blank space and memory. You will then try your hand at creative writing in response. These sessions are led by the poet Samuel Tongue.
The session will start with Samuel reading short pieces of fiction and poetry aloud with the group. You will then be given the chance to try your hand at some relaxed creative writing in response to the exhibition itself.
No previous writing experience necessary and all welcome to this informal session.
Find out more about Samuel here: https://www.scottishpoetrylibrary.org.uk/poet/samuel-tongue/
