SCAN AGM 2014
16:00 on 4 November 2014
SAVE THE DATE the SCAN AGM is planned for Tuesday 4 November in Dundee.
It is essential to the running of the organisation that the meeting is well attended by our members. The AGM will give you an opportunity to discuss our development, nominate others to be on the board and be involved in future planning. The AGM must be quorate to meet charity guidelines so I do hope you can join us.
I would also like to use this opportunity to host our first members forum. This forum will look at SCANs role in advocacy on behalf of the membership and discuss the completion of the Visual Arts Review led by Creative Scotland and our role shaping the priorities within it. We will discuss issues relating to local authority cuts (approximately 10% in cash terms over the last 4 years), planning ahead for potential cuts to overall culture budgets from the Scottish Government and agree priorities for our collective advocacy. Julia Bell, the national coordinator of CVAN (the comparative English network) will join us as a special guest to discuss her role in national advocacy in a time of significant cuts to culture across the English regions.
Car shares are being organised from Glasgow and Edinburgh so far. If anyone from Aberdeen or Inverness areas would like to put themselves and their car forward we will of course cover the petrol costs!
Full schedule TBC.
Please drop me an email at email@example.com if you would like to RSVP.
Access: This venue is suitable for those using a wheelchair.
