SCAN networking breakfast & curatorial conversation
10:00 on 19 April 2014
South Block, 60/64 Osborne Street
SCAN are pleased to co-host a curatorial conversation and networking event for curators, artist/curators and anyone working professionally in the contemporary art sector during Glasgow International 2014.
Four artist/curators will discuss their curatorial projects currently featured in the Glasgow International programme and lead a series of informal conversations around the theme of ‘artist as curator’ with the group. Following the conversations there will be an opportunity for relaxed networking and further discussion.
Speakers include Craig Mulholland (Opera Autonoma), Seth Orion Schwaiger (The Chalet), Lauren Printy Currie (Arch/The Duchy), Jennifer Bailey & Gordon Douglas (Transmission).
Access: This venue is suitable for those using a wheelchair.
A group tour around some of the artist curated shows will take place on Sunday 20th at 1pm – 5pm, please click the link below for more information (tour ticket includes an invite to the festival closing party and performance that evening).
SCAN has since commissioned a new article from Dr Deborah Jackson to further dissect and instigate debate around the subject of artist as curator and the place of Artist Run Initiatives. To read click through here.
