SCAN Open Meeting Glasgow
17:30 on 3 February 2014
Scottish Contemporary Art Network (SCAN) is hosting an informal meeting, workshop and networking event to speak to those working across the contemporary art sector in Scotland. This is an opportunity for anyone working in this area to discuss and workshop the development needs for contemporary art across Scotland.
We are particularly keen that those working in small art organisations, independently and in collectives will attend. However all welcome!
SCAN is an open membership organisation committed to fostering a strong network of members from across all disciplines within contemporary art (curation, galleries, critical writing, producing, artistic practice etc) that will work together to share best practice, skills, knowledge and resources for the collective good and long term sustainability of the contemporary art sector.
This event and the information gathered from it will help SCAN identify new objectives and priorities that will feed directly into programming plans across our advocacy, networking, professional development and research activities.
SCAN will be joined by some special guests, including Ben Cook of Lux on behalf of the Common Practice Network, Max Slaven from David Dale Gallery, Marc Cairns from The Telfer Gallery, artist Janie Nicoll and others TBC.
RSVP essential as space is limited. Please use Event Brite link above.
