She Made the Library: Exhibition Launch
18:00 on 17 August 2017
Glasgow Women's Library
The final exhibition in GWL’s 25th year is a photographic portrait of women who helped to create the Library, and is a powerful and fascinating record of the growth of a unique organisation through collaborative working.
This exhibition evokes a recognition of the thousands of women who have created GWL and how important it is to record cultural and political contributions.
This exhibition launch will be an opportunity to meet, mingle and reminisce about the historical highlights of the Library or discover more about how this resource has grown from the grassroots to a Recognised Collection of National Significance.
We will be toasting the journey vividly illustrated in the exhibition and we also welcome your active involvement to help us put you in the picture. Bring memories, photos and comments to add if you can.
This preview coincides with our Autumn Programme Launch and you can find out more about the exhibition here and see all our GWL25 events here.
