Dundee Ceramics Workshop
If you’re brand new to decorative techniques or looking to shake up your current process, this half day workshop is an opportunity to get inspired, experiment and broaden your skill set.
In this three hour workshop, Shannon Donovan will introduce you to a range of decorative possibilities and help you build a library of techniques to take home.
Working on wet and leather-hard tiles, you’ll practice: mark-making; carving; sgraffito; stencilling; mono-printing; transferring oxide images; and more to create intriguing surfaces on clay. We’ll provide tools and materials, but you’re also welcome to bring your own items and textiles to experiment with surface printing and impressing into clay.
This class is best for those with some experience of clay who would like to learn a new skill or expand their existing knowledge.
Saturday 7 March 2020 – 1pm-4pm. Class costs £40 / £35 for DCW members. Cost includes tuition, materials and firings.
Book your space by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. More info and alternative class dates can be found at dundeeceramicsworkshop.com.
Young people aged 12-16 are welcome to attend (at a concession price) but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
