Talk: Photography in the Time that Remains

Stills: Centre for Photography
Stills Research Associate David Grinly will give a lecture on his recent research trip to Rome, supported by Stills and Creative Scotland, where he continued to investigate the relationship between belief and the photographic. Building on themes and readings from Stills previous lecture series “Reading Photography” this new lecture will appeal to anyone with an interest in delving further into the theory of the photographic. No prior reading is required although some previous interest in the theory and philosophy of photography is recommended.
The lecture will begin at 6.30pm and there will time for questions and discussion. Refreshments will be available
The lecture is (free but ticketed) and a donation to Stills on arrival is gratefully received.
