TALK: What is the value of photography today?
18:30 on 28 May 2015
Stills, Centre for Photography
Sebastien Montabonel, founder of Montabonel & Partners and former European Senior Specialist in Contemporary Photography at Phillips (formerly known as Phillips de Pury) in conversation with Ben Harman, Director of Stills.
Timed to coincide with the display of historic photographic works in the exhibition: Anna Atkins: Cyanotypes & Margaret Watkins: Advertising Photography, Stills has invited Sebastien Montabonel to join Ben Harman in a conversation about the value of photography. The talk will offer insights into the processes of collecting and philanthropy around the world and address issues around the intrinsic creative value of photography such as its cultural, historical and financial worth.
