Weekend Course - Clay Portraiture with Duncan Robertson
7 December 2019 until 8 December 2019
Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop
Learn to model a clay head from life, develop observational skills and clay modelling techniques on this popular, absorbing course. Using air drying clay you will learn about anatomy, form and texture, and develop an understanding of portraiture through sculptural expression. This course is ideal for people looking to develop their artistic skills with a structured programme and clear course focus and defined output. It is perfect for beginners or those with some experience who wish to further develop their observational skills.
Duncan Robertson graduated from Edinburgh College of Art and was awarded the King Edward VII Scholarship to study in Munich. He was a recent recipient of the Bothy Residency in 2019.
Duncan has over 20 years teaching experience and is a freelance gallery educator at the Scottish National Galleries and a long term tutor for ESW’s learning programme.
