Creative Practitioner Residencies – Contemporary Performance

Bothy Project is delighted to announce the open call for their latest set of Creative Practitioner Residencies. These week-long, solo residencies are fully-funded and dedicated to contemporary performance.

This opportunity is open to those working in performance art, dance, choreography and theatre. Applications are welcome from practitioners who are able to demonstrate at least three years of active practice and are based in the UK.

Our Creative Practitioner Residencies support critical, ambitious and challenging practices, and provide space and time for practitioners to focus without distraction in a unique landscape and off-grid space. It is not necessary for your work to engage with the residency location.

There are five residencies available. The residencies will take place between September – December 2025 at Sweeney’s Bothy, a simple off-grid building in unique surroundings on the Isle of Eigg. The dates of the residency weeks are set and listed below:
