An exciting opportunity exists for a well qualified and creative person to join the team of staff and volunteers at the Govanhill Baths Community Trust (GBCT). We are looking to recruit an Environmental Area Connector to lead Rags to Riches in increasing collaboration between hub partners, and to highlight local climate priorities and feed this back to the Hub. A key part of the role will be planning networking events, partnership working, as well as signposting communities to resources which will help them lead more sustainable lives.
Govanhill Baths Community Trust (GBCT) is a grassroots anchor organisation based in Govanhill. Our goal is to re-open the Govanhill Baths as a Wellbeing Centre and at the same time contribute to the wider social, health, cultural and built regeneration of Govanhill.
Rags to Riches is Govanhill Baths’ creative reuse and upcycling hub. We believe communities should have the tools and the skills they need to benefit from the circular economy. We use environmental education and community engagement to support a move to a circular economy, and ultimately increase climate resilience.
