Freelance Copy Editor required for Glasgow International

Closing date 8 January 2024

Glasgow International is seeking an experienced copy editor to work closely with the GI team to coordinate and edit text that will appear both in print and online in the run up to and during Glasgow International 2024.

The role requires someone with an excellent eye for detail in copy editing while also being highly efficient in administrating a large amount of information and relationships. The main work of the copy editor will be collating and editing texts to be used across various marketing and communication channels. These texts will be generated by members of the GI team as well as other organisations, groups and individuals presenting projects as part of the 2024 festival. Following copy editing and sign-off from relevant parties, this writing will appear in the printed Programme Guide, on the Festival website, and potentially in other online and printed forums as well.

Deadline for proposals: 12noon, Monday 8 January.

Contract start: Monday 15 January (approx.) till 31st July 2024, approx. 21 days of work required.

Fee: £5,000

The GI team are very happy to have a chat with anyone who is interested in the role.  Please note the GI team will be on leave over the Christmas period, returning on 8th January. Please ensure any enquiries about the role are submitted before 18 December.
