Job Purpose
- To work proactively with the Director, staff team and Trustees to actively contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Royal Scottish Academy and the delivery of the programme of activities including those for the RSA’s bi-centenary.
- To assist develop the organisational programme of activities and engagement strategies in collaboration with the Director and Senior Management Team.
- Responsible for the delivery of the day-to-day programme and artist/public engagement strategies including the exhibition operations (i.e. receiving, hanging, and distributing works of art; reception(s); and artists awards).
- Responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the gallery including the management of organisational systems.
- To lead the identification, development, and implementation of strategic programme-led income streams for the organisation.
- To be an active team player in the Senior Management Team
Contract: Fixed term (maternity cover – 9 months)
Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 (pro rata) depending upon experience, plus commission during the term of the contract
Work Pattern: Full time (Tuesday to Saturday)
Holidays: 25 days per year plus 6 public holidays (pro rata). The leave year runs from 1 January to 31 December.
