The Role
An Talla Solais (ATS) is looking for an experienced Communications Coordinator to work with us to develop our public communications. This is a key role which is about equipping us for the future as well as about celebrating what we do. This role will assist ATS in recovery from the impacts of COVID 19 restrictions, which have included reduced contact with our audiences and reduced income. The main tasks of this role are:
- Promoting and increasing income through sale of art, from the gallery and online, in line with our aims and objectives and to support our charitable activities
- The launch and promotion of an online fundraising effort to help mitigate financial impact during 2021
- Development and delivery of a communications strategy, including a review of the website
- Increasing An Talla Solais’ membership
- Raising awareness and encouraging involvement and engagement in creative activity.
Background
An Talla Solais is a visual arts initiative which aims to provide a showcase for contemporary visual arts and enable people to engage with art in an educational and enjoyable way. We are a charity and are committed to the full participation of local communities in our work. Situated in the village of Ullapool in Wester Ross, we offer studios, workshop space and galleries to a wide range of local and international artists. An Talla Solais works with the local community through classes and by offering facilities, and we have always run a busy programme of events and exhibitions throughout the year. We also seek to attract visitors to the area through the high quality of our exhibitions and workshops. Since the Covid-19 pandemic we have moved much of our activity online and deliver activities to our expanding virtual community.
