RSA MacRobert Art Award for Painting
Closing date 16 July 2023
The Royal Scottish Academy is delighted to announce that applications are now open for The RSA MacRobert Art Award for Painting, a £20,000 award for mid-career painters to enable a 12-month period of research and development.
The aim of the award is to provide the chance for a committed painter whose circumstances have, for whatever reason, made it difficult to focus upon and develop their artistic talent. Whilst the award is financial, the real reward is the opportunity that the funds can directly, or indirectly allow.
To be eligible for the award, entrants must be painters who graduated at least 10 years ago, or have at least 10 years of substantive practice. The selected artist must also have been born, or currently living, in Scotland.
Deadline: Sunday 16 July, 11:59pm.
