Summer Caretaker (artists, communications or buildings)

Closing date 10 June 2024

Join our team! Deveron Projects is looking for a confident and practical organiser to provide care and support across our work from July 2024, in the new, fixed-term role of Summer Caretaker (artists, communications or buildings).

Deveron Projects is a socially-engaged arts organisation based in Huntly, a rural town in north-east Scotland, for almost 30 years. Our work builds deep and meaningful collaboration between artists, communities and places, through the process of making art.

With a busy programme of artists’ residencies and regular events this summer, the Summer Caretaker will collaborate with our small team of 3 on core tasks, from supporting the development of artists’ projects and admin, to hosting and supporting the delivery of events. The role will also include an area of focus – either artists, buildings or communications – based on your skills and prior experience. The tasks and requirements of the role are outlined in detail in the job pack, available to download from our website.

We have designed this role flexibly, recognising the limitations of a seasonal fixed-term contract:
— £26,000 per year, pro rata
— Fixed-term, minimum 3 months > maximum 5 months
— Either 4 or 5 days per week (0.8 or 1.0 FTE)
— Accommodation available
— Role benefits include 32 days holiday pro rata, a brilliant wee team and a chance to live and work here in Huntly in glorious summer time!

Deadline for applications: Monday 10 June, 1pm.

There are two open sessions where you can meet us, find out more about our work and ask any questions on Thursday 30 May and Tuesday 4 June. You can book these, find out how to apply and download the full job pack on the opportunities page of our website: https://www.deveron-projects.com/about/opportunities/
