Anne Colvin is an artist who splits her time between Scotland and California. Her work explores the tension between memory, spoken word and moving image.
Most recently Colvin was included in “Here was Elsewhere: >>FFWD”, Cooper Gallery, DJCAD, Dundee (2018); “Gallery Tally/Starless in Midnight”, Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead (2018); “FFWD: Moving Image from Scotland”, Minsheng Art Museum, Shanghai, China (2017) and “Skelf”, Art Licks, London (2017).
Colvin’s work has been shown at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art; Torrance Art Museum, California; Berkeley Art Museum, California; Mills College Art Museum, Oakland; Gavin Brown’s Enterprise, New York; Craftswoman House, Los Angeles; Modern Edinburgh Film School; Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow and Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop among others.
Anne is Visiting Faculty at the San Francisco Art Institute and founder of conceptual project School of Inattention.
