Deborah Jackson
About
Dr Deborah Jackson is the Director of Visual Culture at Edinburgh College of Art as well as the Director of Equalities. She is a Lecturer in Contemporary Art Theory and Practice and has taught at ECA since 2006.
She is also a curator, writer, Visiting Lecturer at Glasgow School of Art, and the Lead Editor for Visual Culture in Britain, a peer-reviewed journal published by Routledge.
From 2006-2008 Deborah was co-Director of Embassy (est. 2004), an artist-run gallery in Edinburgh. She has also worked as Curator/Producer for the Edinburgh Art Festival, Scotland’s largest annual visual art festival. She has also works as a Curatorial Researcher at Talbot Rice, the public art gallery of the University of Edinburgh.
