Javier Aregger is a curator, sound artist and photographer based between Dumfries & Galloway and Glasgow. He obtained a BA(Hons) in Recording Arts From Middlesex University before studying for a Masters Degree in Curatorial Practice at the Glasgow School of Art. Javier is interested in interdisciplinary collaborations as well as breaking down the barriers between art, science and audiences. His curatorial approach is centered on the relationship between sound, space and visual art practices. Javier’s current area of research focuses on the contemporary art installation format through methodologies incorporating concepts such as synaesthesia and aesthetic atmospheres.
