Lori Anderson is Capital Project Co-ordinator and Fundraiser at Collective taking a leading role in the redevelopment of the Old City Observatory on Edinburgh’s iconic Calton Hill as Collective’s new home. The project will enable Collective to develop its ambitious programme of exhibitions, commissions and projects, placing contemporary visual art at the heart of the city, and is due to open late 2016.
Joining Collective from Museums Galleries Scotland, Lori was the National Development Body’s Relationships and Partnerships Manager, working on key projects such as GENERATION and Festival of Museums and developing and facilitating networks and partnerships across the sector and beyond in the areas of fundraising, sustainability, tourism, training and advocacy.
An experienced fundraiser Lori has considerable knowledge of project development and delivery and during nine years at the Heritage Lottery Fund was case officer for major capital redevelopment projects for the arts sector including the redevelopment of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, the Briggait and Pier Arts Centre.
Lori has spoken at various conferences and guest lectured at the Universities of St Andrews and Strathclyde. She has a professional CIPR qualification and an MA in Scottish History from the University of St Andrews.
