I joined SCAN in March 2017 where I’m responsible for our programme of events and strategic projects, including Curatorial Studio a peer learning programme for early career curators and CLiC an action research and advocacy project for curators within collections.I have two decades of experience in the contemporary art sector in a range of roles, including critical writer, events organiser and chair, editor, arts administrator for the Scottish Art Council and independent researcher. I sat on the advisory group for the Glasgow International Festival and the Scotland and Venice Project as well as editing the publications for GENERATION a nationwide project in 2014. When I’m not at SCAN I am a university teacher in arts and feature journalism and an independent writer working on books and essays with a focus on contemporary art practice.
