I am a freelance producer and curator based in Portree in the Isle of Skye. Currently I am delivering CLIMAVORE Apprenticeship Programme in a freelance capacity, working with Cooking Sections and ATLAS Arts.
In 2019 I co-founded Site Collective, which is dedicated to inspiring communities across the Isle of Skye. It will be ambitious and diverse in its programming with the aim to foster collaboration, generate dialogue and build a collective responsibility for our environment.
Prior to this, I was the producer at ATLAS Arts since 2014. This role involved commissioning and delivering a high-quality, ambitious programme of projects and events that added to the cultural map of the region. Key achievements included: Ragadawn, a dawn performance on the roof of Sabhal Mòr Ostaig (Scotland’s Gaelic College) by Caroline Bergvall; CLIMAVORE: On Tidal Zones, an ambitious, long-term project by Cooking Sections looking at diversifying to forms of eating that have a positive effect on the waters around Skye; and transforming Skye Sailing Club into a Tate-spec cinema space in partnership with Artangel to screen Bethan Huws’ Singing for the Sea.
I am on the board of trustees of Portree and Braes Community Trust.
Other experience – Digital Content Curator at the National Galleries of Scotland (Gallery of Modern Art and Portrait Gallery) from 2008-14. Conservation Intern on Ad Reinhart exhibition at Guggenheim Museum, New York, and voluntary work with contemporary galleries in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
I hold an MA in Fine Art from The University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh College of Art and an MSc in Modern and Contemporary Art: History, Curating and Criticism.
