About
Community Culture & Art Association (CCAA) is a charitable organization that centres its efforts on the Govanhill communities in Glasgow, with a mission to promote equal citizenship through the celebration and advancement of arts and cultural heritage. As the founder and current CEO, I bring a wealth of experience in the arts and creativity domain.
With a background in managing Polish associations for over a decade, orchestrating a wide array of visual art and musical events, I have devoted the past four years to actively engaging local communities in art and creative pursuits. Through workshops focused on creating vision boards and journals using natural elements like leaves, stones, and minerals, we aim to connect individuals with the beauty of nature.
My educational journey includes an honours degree from the Higher Art School, a diploma with a specialisation in Theatre and Community Work from SKIBA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Community Art and Development from Zielona Gora University. Additionally, I hold a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design and Animation.
The Community Culture & Art Association (CCAA) is committed to empowering diverse communities and fostering their active involvement as equal citizens by promoting and preserving their cultural heritage on numerous fronts, including the rich multicultural tapestry of Scotland. Our organisation leverages intangible cultural heritage to promote equality, active citizenship, and community cohesion, with a primary focus on art, cultural heritage, and the following key objectives:
– Developing and promoting arts and heritage
– Advocating for race equality and diversity
– Celebrating democratic citizenship in a multicultural Scotland
