Plein Air Live at the Kibble Palace, Glasgow Botanic Gardens. Sept 14-30

Plein Air opens tomorrow night Thurs Sept 14th at the Glasgow Botanic Gardens from 5:30-7:30 with a small reception. Our collaborator Chris Malcolm and producer Georg Dietzler will be with us, we might even see Dave Russ who has done the engineering on the final electronic sensor system. Noel Hefele has done the graphics and webwork from Brooklyn, NY.

Open Tues – Sun 12-6pm through the 30th of September. Come by if you are in the West End of Glasgow. I think you will be surprised by real-time sounds produced as a tree reacts to atmospheric changes in the greenhouse.

This project has been nine years in development. There are three introductory sound samples on the link below. A small catalogue and a CD with more robust samples from recordings of an Elderberry, Hawthorne and Oak are available at the exhibit; a preview of the vinyl album that will be out by the end of the year.
